Review: White Trash Beautiful by Teresa Mummert

You may remember White Trash Beautiful looking like this....well guess what!? It's been re-vamped, re-mastered, updated, edited, extra stuff added...whatever you want to call it this is the new expanded edition... it's new, improved and better than before and I don't even know how that can be possible. Here is the new cover and it's just a beautiful as the original.

A word-of-mouth bestseller that’s captivating readers with its honesty, grit, and headstrong heroine, White Trash Beautiful is a story for anyone who has ever felt trapped in life, cheated by love—and longed for something more . . .

Cass Daniels isn’t waiting for her knight in shining armor. She knows that girls like her don’t get a happily ever after. Not if you live in a trailer with your mom, work at a greasy spoon diner, and get leered at by old men. Maybe that’s why she puts up with Jackson—her poor excuse for a boyfriend, who treats her like dirt. Cass has learned to accept her lot in life. That is, until he walks into her diner. . . .

His name is Tucker White, and he’s different from any man Cass has ever known. Tall, tattooed, and bad-ass gorgeous, he’s the lead singer of the rock band Damaged. From the moment they meet, Tucker sees something in Cass he just can’t shake. Something beautiful. Something haunted. Something special. And he’s determined to find out what it is—if only he can get her to open up and let him in. . . .

This was the first book we ever read by Teresa Mummert. When we got the opportunity to read the newly revised version, we jumped on it! That's saying a lot. It's very rare the we re-read a book. You have to be top shelf good to be re-read by us, lol. Parts of it will break you heart, other parts will make swoon. Either way, it is a must read that comes highly recommened from both the girls of Smardy Pants.

Our hero, Tucker, will take you breath away. My heart still beats out of my chest just thinking about him. Our heroine, Cass...on the other hand...that is just a difficult conversation. The raw emotions that I felt for the suffering she had to endure, that is what rips out my heart in this whole ordeal. She has always thought of herself as trash. She lives with trash, dates trash, works with trash so why should she feel any different about herself. I was definetly ready for a knight in shining armour to come wisk Cass away. It's all I wanted once I realized what a douche her boyfriend Tucker was.

If you are a book cryer...you will cry when you read this book. If you're not a cryer, I'm sure your chest will still ache and you may find it difficult to breathe. Prepare yourself for the worst in this messed up love story, but still hope for the best. I promise that is the only way you will ever be able to make it through. We are anxiously awaiting book 2, White Trash Damaged. It is available for pre-order and set to release in October.
