Teaser #1
The old structure, the wrought iron, the moldy smell, it was almost as if you were there at the time when the Spaniards roamed around this place. It was hard not to feel a bit claustrophobic as the tunnel seemed to be so long and dark.

"This place is eerie." He whispered. He looked back and noticed no one was either behind them or in front of them. The tunnel was getting darker.

A sense of uneasiness set in. Natalie looked at him and touched his arm, like she sensed his tension. She pulled him a bit closer to her and smiled.

"You're enjoying my vulnerability right now, aren't you," he asked as he glanced at her. Her laughter echoed throughout the tunnel when they heard a random sound.

"Okay, that's enough history. Let's get out of here. I rather watch it from my balcony and read about it on the website." He pulled her back to where they came from.

She couldn't stop laughing.

Teaser #2
She looked up at him; the water still pouring heavily over their heads. The look he gave her, she'd never seen before; lust.

Before she could say anything, he pulled her into the lobby and pushed her against a wall. She tried to break away but he was three times her size and strength. He caged her in. One hand was holding her by the waist, the other on her neck, with his body leaning against hers. Her hands hung limply down her side, trapped by his arms. His face was inches from hers, his eyes deeply set on her.

She couldn't move and the air was slowly running out. His lips covered her mouth and his tongue demanded a reaction from hers. When she gently opened her mouth he caught her bottom lip. Her tongue slowly ran over his upper lip.

Resisting the Bad Boy by Violet Duke

Blurb:
Abby Bartlett is the quintessential nice girl. Between teaching, volunteering, completing her PhD, and helping her best friend raise his daughter, Abby never gets the chance to be anything but nice. That is, until the all-wrong-for-her man she’s only ever known from afar starts daring her to simply take that chance for herself.  His sage advice?  Try something wild and fast.

Preferably him.

An unbridled, hotshot attorney with a not-so-little black book, Connor Sullivan has earned himself quite the bad boy reputation.  But in his defense, he’s a very conscientious one. He knows far too well that sometimes in life, love isn’t enough…or worse, not even a factor at all.  To avoid that misery—and repel the drama—Connor always makes his one and only rule crystal clear right from the start.  Absolutely nothing more than a month.

Turns out, a whole lot can happen in one month.

Excerpt:
“Why you little—”
Connor launched at Abby as she shrieked out in laughter and tried ducking around him to make for the door.  Snatching her around the waist, he hoisted her cackling body over his shoulder and upended her back onto the bed.  “You set me up.”
Now unliddable, her giggles effervesced, giving zero credence to her perfectly scandalized denials.  He trapped her under him and buried his grin against the curve of her neck, feeling disproportionately victorious at the gasp she couldn’t contain when he skimmed his lips over her collarbone.
The woman was getting to him.  This time, when his lips found her soft skin again, it was with purpose.  “You planted that wicked little bag-o-fun there for me to find, admit it.”
She gave an Oscar-worthy gasp at the accusation. “What?  What possible reason would I have had to do that?”
“To drive me up the wall?  Send me bursting through my zipper?”  He nipped at her earlobe playfully.  “Though I guess I should be flattered to be the reason you bought all that stuff.”
The cutest derisive snort he’d ever heard shot out of her like a torpedo with impeccable aim.  “Breaking news, Connor: scientists have in fact discovered that the earth doesn’t revolve around you.  Women buy toys for themselves all the time.”
He nearly bit off his tongue to avoid even thinking about Abby having any sort of toy-based fun.  “I still call foul.  When you and I agreed to this who’ll-beg-first stint, you didn’t say you’d be weaponizing your attacks.”
“Weapons?”  She blinked innocently.  “You make them sound so sinister.  I’d say they’re more like…private tools.  Survival tools, if you will.  For my time here.  Naturally, you were never meant to see them.”
Bull.  Next, you’ll tell me the snowflake masquerading as underwear in that bag is worn strictly for comfort.  Hell, I’ve seen more fabric on the teeny doilies in Skylar’s toy tea sets—”
“Aw, I remember those,” she cut in softly with a smile.  “She used to go on and on about how her ‘bestest Uncle Connor’ hosted the fanciest dress-up tea parties.”
“I wore suits,” he clarified gruffly, “and don’t change the subject.  Why buy sexy lingerie if not to have them be seen?”
By me.  He didn’t have to say it out loud, they were both thinking it.  And his ego was celebrating it.
“Easy access,” she eventually answered, straight-faced.
His imagination went nuts.  Picturing Abby wearing the microscopic scrap of white lace he saw earlier for private ‘easy access’ unhinged him.  He shackled her wrists above her head with one hand and began tickling her ribs.  “Another foul.”
“Stop!” she screeched and dissolved into a breathless puddle of mirth.  “Okay, I admit it!  It was a dirty, dirty foul on my part.  You should definitely take a free throw shot.”
He paused, wondering where she was going with this.
She pointed to the trash can.  “There’s the basket; my new panties can be the ball…since yours are clearly in a twist.”
Incredulous, he dialed up the tickle torture to merciless.
Her squealing ‘I-take-it-backs’ became unintelligible as she wriggled and squirmed and bucked until soon, he was fairly certain he was suffering more than she was.
Breathing hard, he released her wrists and rolled onto his back beside her.  “You’re planning to drive me completely crazy these next few weeks, aren’t you?”
Limbs all akimbo, head dangling off the bed, she heaved between breaths, “Like you wouldn’t believe.”

Excerpt:
Tom took hold of her soft hand, her fingers wrapped gently in his palm. He flicked the light on and carefully led her down the stairs. There was warmth about her. Something made him feel good inside as he reached the bottom. The room lights flickered on. Tom couldn’t help but grin at the dungeon. The black couch rested against the back wall. A large fridge stood a couple of feet to its left.
“Shall we sit a while?” Tom asked her.
“Yes, I need to rest a little.”
“Make yourself comfortable, can I get you another drink of water?”
“Please.”
“Call me Sir.”
“Please, Sir.” Tom walked to the fridge and pulled out a cold bottle and twisted the cap. He returned to the couch. His heart started to pump faster. The sight of his new kitten friend aroused him. She was gorgeous. The scent flowing from her body seemed to target his nostrils. He felt almost faint as he sat beside her. She had a spell on him.
“Sit on my lap, kitty cat.” He patted his thigh and watched as she shuffled across. Her body was light, her flesh warm. He rested his hand on her back and looked at her. There was a distinct sense that he had met her before. She knew him. That was certain. The bottle came up and he put it to her lips.
“Sip. You’ve just downed a whole bottle.” She emptied a quarter of the bottle in a few seconds, sipping it. “Good girl.”
“Thank you, Sir.” The smile almost melted his heart. Then she lowered her eyes, taking the submissive pose.
“Have you and I done a scene before?”
“Not that I’m aware, Sir.”
Her ass pressed down on his groin, Tom could feel himself stiffening against her buttocks.
“So, do you always get distracted when a Dom spanks you?”
“I’m sorry Sir, I don’t understand.”
“All the time the Dom spanked you, you looked at me. Or at least you kept looking my way.”
“I don’t remember.”
“Is your ass sore?”
“A little. Yes, Sir.”
Tom smiled as she took another sip. It was obvious she had plenty of expertise at being a submissive. It came naturally. The way she called him ‘Sir’ after every sentence; the way she sat with her submissive posture. Tom glanced over at the far wall, completely mirrored. He watched her, watched her responses.
“Stand up, bend over, place your hands on your knees, and face the mirror.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Tom took the bottle from her and placed it on the floor. She got up. He admired her figure, the sexy cat costume. Stockings turned him on and she made him wet. The strain was intense. His cock felt imprisoned in the tight leather.
Leaning forward, following exactly the orders he gave, she presented herself to him. Tom sat a moment, looking, not touching.
“You have a pretty ass, kitty cat. It’s nice and rosy.”
“Thank you, Sir.”
Tom sat up and leaned, reaching out. Slowly he slipped his fingers under the rim of her shorts and pulled them. Her soft smooth buttocks were exposed. The red tinge clearly ached as she flinched slightly. Tom pulled the shorts down all the way to her shoes, leaving them puddled at her feet.
“Step out of your shorts and spread your feet for me.”
“Yes, Sir.” No sooner had he said it and it was done.
“Have you got limits?”
“What do you mean?”
“Pain thresholds. Do you like pain?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“How about anal?”
“Yes, Sir. I love anal.” The more she spoke, the more he dripped pre-cum. He would have to move soon.
“Would you like my cock in your anus, kitty cat?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“Would you like my cock in your pussy?”
“Yes, Sir.”

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend,a reader, a blogger, a writer, and a self proclaimed comedian. (Just not always in that order.)

I have loved reading ever since I was a little girl, in fact one of the first series I remember falling in love with was the Sweet Valley High series by Francine Pascal. Those books started my obsession with series/related books.

Writing has always been a passion of mine and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to be writing both my blog, Lisa's Reads and my first novel, "Thursday Nights" book One in the Charistown series.

I can't wait for you to meet my "friends" in the Charistown series. I have fallen in love with each and everyone of them and I think you will too.

Some fun facts about me....If I could only have one food for the rest of my life - it would be french fries! I love them! I also love Godiva Raspberry Truffles. Ok, enough about me.

TEASER & GIVEAWAY TIME..........
"So, your place or mine?" Janie asked nervously as they left the parking lot. The butterflies in her stomach were starting a revolution as she took in the sexy profile of the man sitting to her left with one hand on the wheel and the other on her thigh. Was she really doing this? Not to mention, doing it with Max DeLucca?

Removing his hand from her leg, Max placed both hands on the steering wheel of his black Ferrari Spider. Janie held in the whimper that threatened to escape from the loss of his touch.

Max pulled over to the side of the road, and she felt the butterflies once again trying to take flight. Why was he stopping? Had he changed his mind

"Janie," he said, his voice strong but calm. "Jamie, look at me. I need to see your eyes."

She looked into his grassy-green orbs. Callused fingers stroked her jaw, sending shivers through her body. "I won't hurt you. Your body is safe with me. Do you understand?"

She wasn't sure she did, but she nodded silently, the innocent, doe-eyed look on her face bringing out his every possessive instinct. "Words Janie, I need words," Max demanded.

"I think I understand, Max" She couldn't help the breathless tone in her voice. "But what is this about?"

He inhaled, holding the air in his lungs for an extra second before letting it go, his eyes smoldering while his body still held the relaxed pose that had become so familiar to her. She could hear her own heart beating, and she could also hear it stop when the next statement left Max's lips.

"I intend to fuck you tonight, Janie. I intend to fuck you very well. I am going to make you come in every way imaginable. With my fingers, my tongue, and my cock. I am going to do things to you that you and Lyla have only teased about at Danny's, things you have fantasized about, and things that have never even crossed you mind. You will have a say in whether or not we stop, but Janie, you will not have a say on whether it is your place or mine. Got it?"

She stared at Max her mouth formed an O. She was thoroughly and truly speechless. So she nodded again.

"Words, Janie. I need words."

"Ok," Her heartbeat started speeding up again as Max's car did the same.

Mason starts his eighth school in five years anticipating nothing more than the usual—boring classes, fighting more than making friends, and girls happily willing to succumb to his easy smile. He’s never put much stock into love at first sight—until he sees her.

This is a mature young adult romance. Recommended for 17+ due to sensitive subject material, harsh language, and sexual situations.

You can purchase Sometimes Never at Amazon

We got the chance to Interview the very talented Cheryl McIntyre. Not only can she write and beautiful, heart warming story, she is also a pretty cool chick who has good taste in music :)

1. What inspired Sometimes Never?
I wanted to write about imperfect people. I've always been drawn to darker characters. I'm a huge Lisa McMann fan, and she is great at writing damaged people. I wanted to do something like that.
I was a lifelong reader before I ever tried my hand at writing, and in a lot of books, the main characters are often so easily loveable. I tried to create characters that would be more difficult to like because they were flawed-like real people. Characters that had twisted thoughts and low self esteem, dyed hair, and scars. Someone I could relate to.
2. Are any of the characters personalities based on anyone?
I wouldn't say any character is based on any certain person, but I did adopt some specific traits from people I've known. I don't think I've ever met anybody that is issue-free. We all know someone who isn't happy with themselves, or who had a bad childhood. Someone who has problems controlling their anger, or someone that is bullied for being different. Or even someone who's just a smartass. There's even a little bit of myself in several of the characters.
3. Since this story is so heavily inspired by music, what bands have inspired you personally?
Oh wow. That is an extremely difficult question. I LOVE music and actually cannot write without it. I guess it depends on what I'm writing, but some of my most listened to bands would be: Good Charlotte, Eminem, Blink 182, The Beatles, Mumford and Son, Ed Sheeran and Adele. There is actually a ton more, but those are probably my top favorites right now. I go through fazes.
4. The song Blackbird, has a special meaning in the book. Does it have a special meaning to you also?
I think it's just a great song. It has such a deep meaning that I think a lot of people, myself included, can relate to.

5. Of course, I am team Mason, he is perfect for Hope. But, I also have a soft spot for Park. Will we be seeing more of him? What about Guy, Chase and Annie?
Absolutely! I'm working on Park's book right now. He has so much depth that wasn't even touched on in SN, so I thought he deserved his own novel. And if you thought Hope had issues - just wait. Park may have her beat when it comes to self-destruction.
As for Guy, Chase and Annie-nobody's story is complete without them. They will all make an appearance in the book. (I also have plans for a couple more novellas for these characters as well.)
6. If Sometimes Never were to be made into a movie, who would you cast as Mason, Hope, Guy, Park, Chase and Annie?
Mason: Chase Crawford (Because of the dimples)
Hope: Kat Dennings (I think it was more her personality than her actual appearance)
Guy: Chord Overstreet
Park: Thomas Dekker
 Chase: Nathaniel Buzolic
Annie: Julianna Guill
7. List 5 random facts about yourself:

 Okay, five random facts.....
1. I love scary movies. Especially the really bad ones--like the cheesier the better.
2. I cry every time I watch Toy Story 3. Every. Single. Time. When those toys join hands...I weep like a baby.
3. I'm crazy about red pepper humus. If that marriage was legal...well, I guess it'd be really short because I'd eat my husband. But it'd be delicious.
4. The book that propelled my love of reading was R.L. Stine's Haunted. I think it was from his Fear Street series. I was ten and purchased it from my school's book fair. I read it probably twenty times.
5. The best way to disperse my anger is to make me laugh. It doesn't matter how mad I am, if someone makes me laugh, I'm instantly over whatever pissed me off.

Want to know where Hope's song, "Beautiful" came from? Check out what Cheryl had to say:

"I've received a lot of question/comments about the beautiful song in Sometimes Never. It was a poem I wrote a while back that I transformed for the book. I am really weird about poetry and never share it, but since Hope's song seemed to touch so many people, I'm going to share the original poem with you. This is for you, because you're beautiful".

Scandalous by H.M. Ward

Blurb:
One kiss could have changed Abby's life, but when it didn't happen, she ran. Jack was everything to her and when he didn't respond, Abby couldn't bear it. Everything about that night--leaning in close to his face, feeling the night breeze teasing her hair, the way his scent filled her head--was burned vividly into her mind, including the moment when Jack pulled away. There was no kiss. Abby was wrong. She was wrong about him, wrong about them.

Maybe she didn't have to go to college two thousand miles away, but she did. She had to forget about him. Abby threw herself off the grid, disappearing completely from the life she knew.  After completing her undergraduate degree, she enrolled in seminary. All contact with her old life was severed and she never looked back, until she was forced to.

When Abby puts idealism into practice, her congregation throws her out. If she can survive a year on her own, they'll take her back, and continue to pay off her student loans--but if she fails, Abby is on her own with enough debt to fund a small town. Seminary wasn't cheap. With no place left to go, Abby returns to New York and her best friend takes her in.

Desperate to make it on her own and prove she was right, Abby follows a job lead to an art studio on Long Island. It isn't until she hears Jack's voice that she freezes. The hairs on the back of her neck prickle as she turns to see Jack, ten years later, looking even more tempting than before.

Fate is cruel. Abby left this life behind, but she's thrown back into it, head first. It's like someone hit rewind on her life and its ten years earlier. She's the cotton-mouthed girl that she always was around Jack, and now her future relies on the man who rejected her.

Review:
Let me just start by saying that I love everything H.M. Ward. I recently discovered her work and have been hooked ever since. Usually she breaks a story down into several books and she always keeps me on the edge of my seat with anticipation waiting on the next book, but with Scandalous she made it a full length novel and it definitely lived up to its name!! I loved the story line, it's unique and it really took some getting use to with Abby being a minister, I was a little put off by that at first, but the more I read the more it fit the story. Abby ran away 10 years ago because of rejection and now she has returned with what she thinks is a shameful secret. Her best friend takes her in and says she can stay as long as she needs to. Abby is determined to pay her way and tries to find a job with decent pay. Her only option is a small art gallery but once she arrives she realizes that the owner is Jack, the man who rejected her all those years ago and the hurt she thought she let go of comes back full force. Jack realizes it's Abby sitting across the table from him and he is determined to keep her around this time. With everyone out to get him, Jack needs someone he can trust to be his assistant and no one is more qualified than Abby.

Toby’s carpentry skills take him wherever there’s work, and right now that work is definitely cut out for him. He has to get over the shock that the little boy in his arms is his own son—and convince Esther that he’s always regretted walking away from her.

Esther can’t bring herself to deny Toby his right to get to know Charlie. Besides, with her own home flattened, she has nowhere to go but with him to his apartment…where she discovers a sexy role-playing card game tucked in his suitcase.

When Toby invites her to accompany him to the Northland to attend his best friend’s wedding, the opportunity to explore their still-simmering attraction is too tempting to resist. As the steamy scenarios heat up, they start to realize this is more than a game. But Esther’s hiding a secret that could cause as much devastation as the earthquake...

Excerpt:
He pulled her hard against him and crushed his mouth to hers. The full force of his passion washed over her, and she gasped. He took the opportunity of her open mouth to deepen the kiss, and she sighed as his tongue stroked hers, warm and inviting. He slid his hands up her ribcage over the tight dress, brushing her breasts, and then pulled back.
“I’m sure you look delightful in this pretty bra,” he murmured. “But I’d rather feel the real you. Can you do that miraculous trick girls do and take it off under your dress?”
“Are you sure?” Nerves filtered through her again. “It kind of props up everything that’s beginning to head south.” He just raised an eyebrow, however, and she cursed beneath her breath, trying to remind herself that she was supposed to be a slinky call girl. Slinky call girls didn’t talk about baby tummies and sagging breasts. “Sorry.”
First she took out the check he’d given her from her bra and popped it into the purse she’d left on the table. “Don’t want to lose that.” She reached behind and unclipped the bra, drew the straps down her arms beneath the sleeves of the dress, then pulled the garment out and tossed it onto the table. She glanced down. The dress was really more of a long, tight tube with small sleeves, and it clung to every part of her body, leaving absolutely nothing to the imagination. Her nipples stood out like buttons through the fabric, and her breasts looked huge.
“Wow.” Toby’s eyes gleamed. “You have an absolutely fantastic figure.”
Warmth spread through her at his admiration. “Thank you.”
“You’ve lost some weight.”
“Breastfeeding did that.” The words were out before she could stop them, and she bit her lip. Could she think of any more ways to turn him off?
But he didn’t look turned off. He ran his hands up her body to cup her breasts. “You’re so soft.”
“You’re not,” she said breathlessly as he pulled her to him, his erection obvious even through the jeans.
“Is that any surprise while you’re in my arms, so sensual and womanly?” He moved his large, warm hands over her, making her quiver as he ran his fingers up her back, then brought them around to cup her breasts again. He brushed his thumbs over her nipples, murmuring his approval as her eyes fluttered shut. “You smell fantastic,” he said. He nuzzled her neck and ear, and she shivered.
She kissed him again, holding his face with both hands as she delved her tongue hungrily into his mouth. He tasted divine. It had been so long since she’d kissed anyone—since she’d kissed him, in fact. How had she lived without this for so long?
He was coaxing her body awake, stirring long-forgotten sensations, and an ache grew between her thighs. Her nipples tightened in response to his touch, and she arched her back to push them into his gentle hands. He groaned.
Her fingers itched to touch his skin, so she began to undo the buttons of his shirt, gradually revealing his wide, bronzed chest, shaped with firm muscles. He went to slip the shirt off, but she shook her head. “No,” she whispered, “keep your fuck-me shirt on.”
His eyes widened with amusement. “My what?”
“You heard me. That shirt wants only one thing. You look so damn sexy dressed like that.”
He grinned. “Fine.” He held the bottom of her dress. “But I want you naked.”
Instinctively, she grasped his wrists, stopping him. A skintight dress was one thing. Being completely naked and not in utter darkness was another.
He wrested his hands free, and gently but firmly moved hers away. “My check is now in your purse,” he reminded her. “I seem to remember offering you an amount that would cover pretty much whatever I wanted.” He let go of her hands and held the hem of the dress again. “Arms up.” His voice was firm.
Her cheeks grew warm at the desire in his eyes. Closing her own, she lifted her arms.
He peeled the dress up her body and over her head. The fabric whispered to the floor. Fighting the urge to cover herself, she stood for a moment biting her lip. Even though her eyes were shut, she was sure she could feel his gaze burning through her.
Then his hand cupped her cheek, and she opened her eyes to see him smiling. “Hey, beautiful,” he said.
She looked down at herself, finding it difficult to see anything but the stretch marks and the way her muscles had loosened since childbirth. “You want your money back?”
In reply, he kissed her.

Review:

Six Naughty Nights was my first read by Serenity Woods and I just have to say that I was blown away. It started off kinda slow for me at first but after the first couple of pages I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I think I was a little bit thrown by the girls name being Esther and her being so young, it took some getting use to and the story jumped from Toby's p.o.v to Esther's p.o.v without warning, but after I got use to her writing style the story flowed nicely. There are ALOT of HOT and STEAMY sex scenes and boy would I love to get my hands on that game and Toby!!! I loved Esther and Toby together, they wanted each other but were afraid of the past. They kept assuming they knew what the other wanted and at times I just wanted to shake Esther and maybe slap some sense into her. Oh, and Toby's friends, don't even get me started on them!! Don't get me wrong they are good people but UGH!!!! I don't want to give anything away, but it's so hard...I just want to tell you all about it, lol. Apparently I missed the first book Seven Sexy Sins, but I didn't have to read them in order to know what was going on. I will definitely be reading the first one and anything else by this author!!!
