Jasinda Wilder Giveaway!

Many thanks to the awesome Jasinda Wilder for letting us host this giveaway. You will have the chance to win an e-book copy of Wounded and a signed copy of Big Girls Do It. We have read Wounded and if you haven't had a chance to yet, this is a great opportunity. We have added Big Girls Do It to our TBR list and can't wait to get to it!

Wounded:
War has taken everything from me. My family. My home. My innocence. In a country blasted by war and wracked by economic hardship, a young orphan girl like me has very few options when it comes to survival. Thus, I do what I must to live, to eat, and I try very hard to not consider the cost to my soul. My heart is empty, and my existence brutal.

The one impossibility in my life is love.

And then I meet HIM.

War is hell. It takes a chunk out of a man's very soul to do the kinds of things war demands of you. You live with fear, you live with guilt, and you live with nightmares. If you haven't been through it, there's no understanding it. War leaves no room for love, no room for tenderness or softness. You gotta be hard, closed off, and ready to fight every moment of every day. Lose focus for a split second, and you're dead.

Now the only thing that can save me is HER.

I loved this book! You can find my full review here.

About the Author:
Jasinda Wilder is a Michigan native with a penchant for titillating tales about sexy men and strong women. When she's not writing, she's probably shopping, baking, or reading.

Jasinda can be found on Goodreads, Facebook, and her website.

Big Girls Do It: This collection includes volumes 1-4 Better, Wetter, Wilder and On Top:

Better:
Gorgeous, rock-star guys like Chase Delany don't go for girls like me. They go for supermodels and actresses, skinny-girls who never eat and spend all day working out. I'm not that girl. So when he locked his fiery brown eyes on me for the first time, I couldn't quite believe it was really happening to me.

It was the second night I spent with him that I'll never forget.

Wetter:
Chase went to New York...without me. It was only one night, one delicious, sinful night, but it awakened something within me, and now, with him gone, I have no one to satiate my sudden, ferocious hunger. Then I woke up one day and looked at someone near and dear to me in a whole new light. And my world was rocked once again.

Wilder:
I'm going. Going to New York City to be with gorgeous, mysterious, rockstar Chase Delany seemed like a crazy dream, a fantasy come true. The bright lights and music, and his tight, sexy leather pants called to me...and I answered. Chase might want more and I just might give it to him, if I could only forget what I started with Jeff back in Detroit.

I thought I had my love life all figured out.

On Top:
I fled New York with my heart breaking and a million questions. Foremost in my mind was whether Jeff would even see me after the colossal mess that New York turned out to be.

I discovered the answer, but that only spawned even more questions, many of the yes or no variety...

Hopeless by Colleen Hoover

Hopeless

This book is intense! It consumed me. It is deep, diligent and meaningful. I can't think of a more powerful analogy. It was just, uhh...words can't really describe.

If you loved Slammed, you will love Hopeless, but don't go looking for it to be like Slammed, it is completely different. The talent is still there, but the story is just so different. It's dark, yet light at the same time.

Sky is not like anyone else. She was adopted and has grown up in a house where technology is frowned upon. No Internet, no cell phone, poor thing doesn't even have TV.

Not that her parenting style is a negative one. It's just...very contradictory. She's been strict my whole life. We've never had access to the Internet, cell phones or even television because she believes technology is the root of all evil in the world. Yet, she's extremely lenient in other regards. She allows me to go out with Six whenever I want, and as long as she knows where I am, I don't even really have a curfew.

Sky doesn't really do feelings. She hasn't cried in years and she isn't too sure that she can even love someone.

I've never been swept off my feet. I don't get butterflies. In fact, the whole idea of being swooned by anyone is foreign to me.

After always being home schooled, Sky is finally allowed to go to public school for her senior year. She is stuck with a reputation that she didn't even earn.

Despite what this may look like, I am not a slut. Unless, of course, the definition of slut is based on the fact that I make out with lots of people, regardless of my lack of attraction for them. In that case, one might have grounds for debate.

Through all the torture from the mean girls at school (even though she doesn't care what anyone thinks) she still manages to meet Holder. Holder has a reputation worse than hers. They instantly click...well they don't click...or maybe they kind of do. The relationship is very rocky, lol. Sky doesn't understand why Holder acts the way he does some time. He is sweet and friendly, then reserved and hateful. It doesn't make any sense to her, he has only know her for about a week, so he has no reason to be crazy like this.

"You're...intense. Too intense. And moody. And a little bit scary..."

Even though Holder is driving her crazy with his mood swings, she still can't help how she feels for him. She should hate him, or at least feel nothing like she always has but it's is uncontrolable.

I hate it. I absolutely, positively hate this beautiful, magical feeling.

The relationship between Sky and Holder will build and build and build and then we hit a brick wall and it stops and goes in reverse. The emotions and angst are just too much! The kicker is, Holder has a secret that he doesn;t even realize he has. Once it comes out, their lives will change forever.

“You can’t get mad at a real ending. Some of them are ugly. It’s the fake happy ever afters that should piss you off.”

Wounded by Jasinda Wilder

Wounded

I read all afternoon because I didn't want to stop! I am hooked on this book! I just want to gush, and gush and gush about it!. It was different than what I expected. It was raw, it was real and it's deep. It's almost scary how real some of the scenes were (stupid government!!...read it, you will know what I'm talking about).

When I started, at first I was like, I dunno...this book doesn't seem like me (not that it wasn't good from the beginning, because believe me, it was)....but I am not a quitter so I pushed on and I am sooooo glad that I did. Everything I have read lately seems to get mushed together in my head. It's like I have been reading the same thing over, and over, but NEVER have I read anything like Wounded. I won't go so far as to say fabulous, because once you read it you will think I am a sicko for thinking something is as horrible as what our heroine goes through is fabulous, but I will say it is a book that you won't put down and you will probably think about it for days. I can't think of the last time I read something as deep and realistic as this book.

Raina, is an orphan and stuck in the war in Iraq...the first one. Everyone has been taken from her and she has seen and done things that Allah will never forgive. She is at the point that she doesn't speak to Allah anymore for the shame she has caused to herself....and this is before she has to do one of the most horrible things a woman can to do to herself...but she has to if she wants to survive----ahhh Raina, I'm feeling the pain right along with you....

She has known no kindess from anyone. She hasn't felt loved since her parents died and her brother is selfish, he has joined the war at only 12 and left her alone. That is why she decides to do what she does, because she is alone and starving.

Hunter is back in Iraq, it's 2003. Raina is an adult now, no longer an orphaned child, just a lost, lonely woman surviving. One minute Hunter is fighting with his buddies, the next he is hit and being carried away, leaving everyone in his troop to die. He doesn't understand why he is being saved, and Raina doesn't know why she is saving him.

After bringing Hunter home, Raina has no idea what she is doing. She knows that she has betrayed her people by saving an American.

Hunter and Raina start this mind playing dance around each other. She is scared of him, and he is scared of the way she makes him feel. He wants to protect Raina, he has this need to do it, but he can't as long as he is hurt. Hunter is stuck healing while having to deal with what Raina does in her life.....Raina is confused by why Hunter cares so much when she is nothing but a woman who should serve him....

I honestly dont know how to conclude my synopsis of this book! There are so many factors and things that happen, and I can't give them away because I want you to experience it for yourself. So do me a favor, read it. I promise you won't regret it.

Deadly Deception (Deadly Series) by Andrea Johnson Beck

Deadly Deception

When I started reading this book, I wasn't too sure how I would feel about it. I felt like I was reading it way too fast and I wasn't getting to know the characters well enough. By the middle of the book, I was soooo over that! All I wanted to do was keep turning the pages and read faster and faster to know what was going, what was going to happen and who was lying! The lies, the lies! The lies were killing me, but it was the read so worth it! Things I never expected to happen happened, people I really thought were good were bad, ahh, it was just such a thrill!

"I am so pissed at the both of you. This is something out of the Sopranos. This kind of stuff doesn't happen here."

"You'd be surprised, and these people are dangerous. They will come after you, so let it be."

Anne is a psychotherapist living in the city with her fiance, Adam. They two of them are just too in love!

"I'm madly in love with you, Anne, and I want you in my life always." Adam's baritone voice melted against her ear. "You were meant to find me, to save me, to love me and I can't wait to be your wife. And I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me," Anne said, kissing the curves of his carved chin.

Even with all of the love in the world from Adam, Anne is still haunted by the death that surrounds the ex love of her life, Carter. His death was just too sudden. She had the explaination of what happened, she just couldn't believe it and it haunted her dreams.

Anne finds a folder in her office with pictures of Carter from the camping trip he took when his life was taken from him. Attached to the folder is a note in Carter's handwritting addressing it to My Annelise. He is the only person that calls Anne by her proper name. She goes into panic, a state of shock. She doesn't know what to do. Is Carter really dead?

She begins to learn that the new love of her life, Adam, may have had something to do with Carter's death. What is she to do!? She loves Adam, but can she trust him? Is he really with her because he loves her too or is he using her for something that she knows nothing about?

The ending is the kicker! I did not expect the end of the book to turn out like it did. I was so involved, and now I NEED the 2nd book!! Please Andrea, write faster!!!

Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry

What a sweet, sad, wonderful, heart wrenching, beautiful story about two damaged teenagers just trying to make it, to be loved for who they are and to overcome the crappy hand that life dealt them. This book pushed me to the limit with every twist and turn and pulled on my heart strings, It broke my heart over and over again. I give it a solid 5 out of 5 stars, from the very beginning I was hooked and couldn't put it down. This is the first book in the Pushing The Limits Series and I can't wait for the second book, Dare You To, expected release date May 28, 2013.
Echo Emerson lost everything that ever meant anything to her in the blink of an eye. She was the schools golden girl with all the popular friends and the golden boy friend, until the night she can't remember. She now has scars all over her arms, she is withdrawn from everyone and there is a restraining order against her mom and she doesn't understand why. She lives at home with her dad and pregnant step mom who she hates. She has no one in her life that understands her, her father pushes her to be perfect, to get the best grades and become herself again, but it just isn't that easy. She starts working with the school counselor, Mrs. Collins to try to get her memory back. This is her senior year and she wants to make a change, she agrees to start trying to hangout with her friends again and to make some extra money she agrees to tutor a student that Mrs. Collins has picked for her.

Noah Hutchins, has also been assigned to Mrs. Collins to help workout his issues. He has been in foster care for the last 2 1/2 years, being bounced around from house to house. Everyone thinks he's trouble, no one wants to hear his side of the story. He has learned along the way not to trust people, especially adults. Mrs. Collins makes a deal with him, that if he gets tutored and brings up his grades she will help him see his two younger brothers who are placed in another foster home. Noah agrees, he will do anything to see his brothers, to help them remember him. He doesn't expect that his new tutor will be stuck up goody two shoes, Echo Emerson.
Like always, she stared straight ahead as if I didn't exist. Hell, I probably didn't exist in her mind. People like Echo Emerson irritated the crap out of me. "You've got a fucked-up name," I mumbled. I didn't know why I wanted to rattle her, I just did.
"Shouldn't you be getting high in the bathroom?" So she did know me. "They installed security cameras. We do it in the parking lot now."
"My bad." Her foot rocked frantically back and forth. Good, I succeeded in getting under that perfect facade. "Echo...echo...echo..." Her foot stopped rocking and red curls bounced furiously as she turned to face me. "How original. I've never heard that before." She swept up her backpack and left the office.
Echo is trying really hard to fit in again and keep what happened to her a secret. She has been talked about and laughed at ever since she came back to school and she isolated herself from everyone. The only person that stayed her true friend was Lila, the only one who knew about her scars. Now that she is back with her friends her social status is rising, but tutoring Noah may be social suicide. The two of them fit together like oil and water, they argue all the time and are at each others throats.
Guys like Noah Hutchins ticked me off. He used girls, used drugs and had made me feel like crap this morning. Not that I should be surprised. I'd had a couple of classes with him last semester. He'd stride into the room like her owned the earth and smirk when the girls fell all over themselves in his presence. "What a jerk."
The more time they spend together, they realize they were wrong about each other, that they are more alike than they thought. Being friends with Noah, means giving up her friends and going back to being the school outcast, is that something she is willing to give up for him? Can Noah overcome his trust issues enough to let this girl be apart of his life?

Preservation Series by Rachael Wade Reading Order

Somehow Rachael Wade keeps sucking me back in with her work! She is awesome! I haven't read all of her books yet, but I am working on it. I loved Preservation and I'm sure you will too. I'm patiently awaiting the release of Reservation :)
  • Preservation (Book 1 Preservation Series)
  • Reservation (Book 2 Preservation Series)- Ryan's POV TBA 2013
  • Love and Relativity- IS a stand-alone novel. You do NOT need to read the Preservation Series to understand L&R. However, it does tie in with the Preservation Series for 3 reasons:
    • Carter, Kate’s best friend from Preservation, is an important character in Love and Relativity.
    • Emma and Jackson from Love and Relativity WILL be in Reservation, book 2 of the Preservation Series.
    • Whitney from Love and Relativity will be Carter’s leading lady in the 3rd Preservation book (book 3 of the Preservation Series is from Carter’s POV).
  • Book 3 Preservation Series, no title yet- Will be from Carter's POV.

And a note from Rachael about book 2:
The release date for Reservation, book 2 of the Preservation Series, will be announced soon. In the meantime, though, I have something to hold you over. When Preservation receives its 100th Amazon review, I’ll celebrate by releasing chapter 1 of book 2! So, if you haven’t left a review yet, hop on over and leave one now HERE, or if you know someone who has read the book, encourage them to leave an honest rating and review. Cross-posting your review on Goodreads is also always very much appreciated. Remember: It doesn’t have to be a novel. Just a sentence or two stating what you enjoyed about the story. As soon as the 100th review is posted, the 1st chapter will be released on my blog. Thanks to all of you guys for your support and for your enthusiasm for the series. I’m really looking forward to bringing you Ryan’s story!
Much Love,
Rachael

The Coincidence Series by Jessica Sorensen Reading Order

Astounding! Bewildering!! Jessica Sorensen has captured my heart again with the first book of this series! I can't wait for the 2nd book! So far it looks like she only has 2  books planned, but I'm sure there will be more for the series. It's too good for there not to be!

The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden (The Coincidence #1)
The Redemption of Callie & Kayden (The Coincidence #2)- release date 2/28/13

Teaser #1 for Book 2

I want to breathe.

I want to feel alive again.

I don’t want to feel the pain.

I want it all back, but it’s gone.

I hear every sound, every laugh, every cry. People move around me frantically, but I can’t take my eyes off the sliding glass doors. There’s a violent storm outside and rain is hammering down against the concrete, dirt, and dry leaves. Sirens flash as ambulances roll up under the port.

My stomach is empty, my heart is hurting, and I can’t move.

“Callie,” Seth says. “Callie, look at me.”

I blink my gaze off the door and stare into his brown eyes filled with worry.

He takes my hand in his, his skin warm and comforting. “He’s going to be okay.”

I stare at him, trying not to cry, because I know I’m stronger than that. “Okay.”

He lets out a slow sigh and pats my hand.  “You know what, I’m going to go see if he can have visitors yet.” He gets up from the chair and walks across the packed waiting room to the receptionist desk.

He’ll be alright.

He has to be.

Deep down, I know that’s not true. His wounds and breaks may heal on the outside and cover with scars. On the inside the healing will take longer and I wonder what Kayden will be like when I see him again—who he’ll be.

Tidal by Emily Snow

I'm a really bad person. I have been slacking on my reviews because of my birthday and the holidays, but now I am finally able to get back to how it should be and post something every day!

I'm so glad to finally be able to review Tidal. I have A LOT of love for Emily Snow's work. She has not disappointed me yet and I can't wait to see what the future brings for her writing and my reading.

Tidal is just....ahhhhmazzzzing. It is raw, yet inviting. I was sucked in by the story and didn't want to be spit out. You will fall in love with Willow and Cooper from the start. I think a spin off could be made for Cooper's friends or maybe even willow's bodyguard. I loved all of the characters, they all played important roles in the book and the roles of the characters didn't feel forced, it was very natural.

Willow is fresh out of rehab.

I had hated it, but as of an hour ago, my six months were up. Freedom had never felt so good. This time, I wouldn’t let it go so easily. This time, I’d be smart enough to limit myself and dull my senses just enough to forget, but not to the point of obliterating my reality.

She plans on staying out.

I quickly shook that thought out of my head, ashamed of myself. No, this time—this time I would be different.

I sure as hell would never go back to rehab.

Now all she has to do is convince herself and everyone that knows her that she has changed.

She is tired of being in the spotlight but an empty pocket will make you do things you don't want to do. She knows accepting the leading role in the movie Tidal will earn her some quick cash. What she doesn't know is accepting the role is what will change her life forever.

Willow has been teamed up with Cooper to help train for her surfing part in the movie. How will she ever be able to concentrate on training after having thoughts like this: The guy beside him wore a faded lime green Hollister T shirt- that hugged his biceps and chest- that lean muscular look I'd always lost my breath over.

“I’m Cooper Taylor. I’m a Scorpio. I enjoy women, long walks on the beach, and my roommate says I use girly shampoo. Oh, and I generally hate anyone in the film industry because they’re total assholes. Guess you could say I’m your Pai Mei.”

"Willo Avery. Actress, Cancer, and according to my team, on my last leg before porn".

As Williow and Cooper relationship changes in more ways than one she has to keep reminding herself:

He is an ass. He is your coach. Slow the fuck down, dumbass, before you get in trouble again.

Willow has demons in her past that can never resurface again. She knows getting involved with Cooper will only make them appear, but it's like she can't control herself. She has no control at all when it comes to Cooper and he has no control when it comes to her.

Willow and Cooper will have to learn how to work with each other and confront the demons they face together, if they can't they will never make it.

Tidal by Emily Snow Playlist

Soooooo in love with Tidal!! Here is the playlist of songs mentioned in the book along with the quotes to help you get a feeling of snippets of the book from beginning to end.

He paused for a moment, and I heard a door slam shut. The engine to his car revved up, a Bruno Mars song about getting locked out of paradise blasting my eardrums. I flinched but then he cut the sound so that I could hear him laughing quietly.

I crossed my arms over my chest because I was more interested in hearing what Cooper had to say than listen to Brandon Boyd sing about picturing someone’s face in the back of his mind. The lyrics were way too close to my own dilemma with the guy sitting beside me. When the song ended, and a commercial for a night club replaced it, Cooper sighed

Over the next twenty-four hours I knocked out ten hours of community service. This time I followed Dave’s directions not to communicate with the residents at Harmony House, thanks to the iPod I borrowed from Miller that was full of angsty music—Five Finger Death Punch, Puddle of Mudd, and Saving Abel, to name a few. The work was monotonous and boring, but it kept my thoughts off Cooper and the fact that shooting was scheduled to begin in a few days.

Letting an Ed Sheeran song and the sound of laughter act as our guide, we walked around the house to the backyard.

Later that night, after I’d returned to my rental house and lay alone in the dark staring at the moonlight through partially opened blinds, listening to Ellie Goulding on my laptop, I decided that I wouldn’t think about what would happen after the summer went away, when I was done with this movie.

Paige showed up an hour and a half later, and when I told her to go away, she shook her head and held up a handful of DVDs—a season of Adventure Time and both volumes of Kill Bill. “Don’t ask me to leave or I’ll sit outside blasting the Gears of War soundtrack.”

She spent the next fifteen minutes telling me about the Bieber-esque bedspreads she’d coveted at Walmart and how her mom had promised her she’d have it by Christmas.

I sighed when I caught the middle of a Jason Mraz song and sung along off-key, sounding as horrible as my mom had when she called me on my birthday back in July. She shot me a look as she navigated the Cadillac into traffic.

The song switched to Paramore and I nearly choked when my mother joined in with me, singing loudly.

And here is Emily's playlist that is posted on her blog:

Deleted Scene from Undeniable by Madeline Sheehan

A Very Horsemen Wedding- Deuce & Eva

Deuce wasn’t gonna lie.  His hair pulled tightly back, dressed in his leathers, a clean white tee and his Horsemen cut, standing there in the middle of a mother fucking gazebo, decorated with mother fucking flowers, he felt damn uncomfortable.  Didn’t help that Mick, Cox, and Ripper were laughing at him and standing across from them was Kami, Danny and Dorothy, all dressed in matching black dresses, also laughing at him.

Yeah, real fucking funny.  Bet they wouldn’t think it was funny if he pulled out his glock and took out their knees.  Except for Danny.  He wouldn’t shoot his baby.  Just glare at her until she ran away.  Which she wouldn’t because she never did, because she wasn’t scared of him.  His feisty little girl had her mother’s tough as nails personality.  Funny that Danny being the way she was didn’t bother him in the least but her mother, his ex Christine, had irked him to no end.

Nostrils flaring, shifting uncomfortably, he glared at the minister, an older woman with long white hair, dressed in white and purple robes, smiling serenely back at him.

He caught himself before he growled at her.

Why the fuck was he getting married?

Again?

Because he sure as fuck fucked it up the last time.  He didn’t know the first thing about how to be a…husband.  All he knew, all he’d ever known was how to be a provider.  To make sure the people he loved were safe, well fed and warm and in Danny’s case and now Eva and Ivy’s, spoiled shitless too.  Although, he figured the giant shoe pile of chucks in his foyer was a pretty good tradeoff for the woman he had in his bed.

But a husband…

He didn’t do husband.  What the fuck did husbands do anyway?  He sure as hell didn’t do it right with Christine.  She had wanted so much more from him then he’d been willing to give.  Then he’d known how to give.  She’d wanted to bend him to her will, own him even.

Aw, jesus…he couldn’t pretend to be someone he wasn’t.  He couldn’t put a ring on Eva’s finger.  He couldn’t fuck her up like he had Christine.  Like he did everything.

“Prez,” Mick whispered, leaning over.

His head snapped left.  “What?” He snarled.

Mick’s lips twitched.  “Nothin’ Prez, just thought maybe you’d wanna watch your bitch walkin’ down the aisle.”  Mick’s chin jerked left and his gaze followed.

And suddenly he didn’t give two fucks about how he was gonna fare as a husband or how many mistakes he was gonna make, which was gonna be a lot because, well…that was what he was best at.

No, he didn’t care about anything else in the world except for his woman, the sweetest kid he’d ever met, the smartest too, a kid who’d turned into the sexiest woman he’d ever seen, a woman who didn’t just love with her whole heart but with her body and soul, a woman who, time and time again, brought him to his fucking knees, had him praying to a god he didn’t believe in just so he could keep her by his side.

A woman whose mother-fucking smile made the world and life seem somewhat livable.  Even worth it sometimes.

On the arm of Preacher, her old man, was his Eva.  Her soft hair hung long in dark brown waves, her makeup was minimal and her dress was a simple, strapless white cotton sundress that hung to her knees.  His gaze traveled down her silky smooth legs to her feet and his chest constricted.  Black chucks.  And not just any black chucks but her oldest pair.  Ratty, doodled on, coming apart at the seams, the same one’s she’d been wearing the very first time he’d kissed her back when she’d been way too young for him and he’d lost complete control of himself and his better judgment.

Eva came to a stop at the bottom step of the gazebo and looked up at him, her big gray eyes shining, her juicy lips twitching something fierce, trying not to smile while Preacher straight up glared at him.  He glared back.  If her old man wanted a fight he was gonna get one.

“Yo, Prez,” Cox laughed, “You’re gonna wanna go get her, yeah?”

Oh.  Right.

He strode forward, taking all three steps at once and grabbed Eva away from Preacher and started yanking her back up the stairs.  The faster they could get this shit over with the faster he could get her alone.  And set to working on kid number two.

Preacher yanked her back and the two of them spent another good minute glaring at one another.

“You’ll always be my baby girl,” Preacher whispered, giving Eva a kiss on the cheek while shooting daggers at him.

Yeah fucking right, he thought as he finished dragging Eva up the steps.  Eva was his.  All his.  Ain’t no man, not even her father should be thinking otherwise.

“I have a bra on,” Eva whispered, unable to fight her grin any longer.  “It’s my something new.”

He couldn’t help himself and burst out laughing.  She was just so damn…perfect.

“Something old,” She continued, pointing at her feet.

“Something borrowed.” She grabbed his gold Horsemen’s tag around her neck.  The one that had “Deuce” inscribed on the back.

“Borrowed for fuckin’ ever,” He said gruffly.  Ain’t no way she was ever giving that back.

Her grin grew.

“My dress is white,” She continued, “And I’m wearing your blue boxers.”

The entire wedding party roared with laughter.

“Oh Evie,” Kami sighed, “I told you not to do that!”

“Fuckin’ hell,” He muttered, grabbing her arm and turning her towards the minister.  “Let’s get this fuckin’ circus over with’,” He growled.

Still smiling, although shooting Eva strange looks, the minister ushered them closer. “Ready?”  The minister asked.

“Fuck yeah,” He said gruffly.  “This bitch is mine.”

This time the entire yard erupted in laughter.  Except for Eva.  She was staring up at him, her smile wide, her eyes soft.  Damn those eyes, drowning him in nothing but Eva.

“I, Eva Fox, take you, Cole West, to be my beloved husband,” Eva softly repeated.  “To have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in the good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always.  I promise you this, baby, from the bottom of my heart, for all the days of my life.”

He stared down at her, burning with a whole mess of emotions he was helpless to turn off.  Burning because he knew he’d never get enough of her, burning because he wanted to pick her up, take her inside the clubhouse, strip her naked and knock her up again just to make sure she’d never leave.  Burning because after all the shit they went through, the pain, the loss, the heartache, the straight up evil brutality that made them question everything they’d thought to be true and had nearly driven them apart for good, he knew he’d do anything for her…steal anything, kill anyone…be anyone…

Even a fucking husband.

“Baby,” Eva whispered, grinning.  “It’s your turn.”

He glanced over at the waiting minister, then back at Eva.  “What she said,” He grunted.  Then he turned to their guests.

“This is it,” He bellowed.  “This here is me and fuckin’ Eva and this is our fuckin’ road and anyone who doesn’t like it, anyone who’s got somethin’ fucked up to say, can get the fuck off our road!”

The crowd, his boys, their family and friends, even Preacher, erupted in happy jeers and raucous laughter.

“You may kiss your bride,” The minister sighed, shaking her head.

He didn’t waste any time, he grabbed his woman, his wife, his Eva and lifted her off her feet and crushed her to him.  Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms around his neck and their mouths crashed together.

“Bout fuckin’ time!” Blue bellowed from his place at the bar.

Born to be Wild blasted through the outside speakers and drowned out the cheering.

Eva pulled away laughing, happy tears rolling down her cheeks.  He curled his hand into a fist and ran his knuckles down the side of her face.

“There it is,” He whispered.

“What?” She whispered back.

“You Eva.  Just fuckin’ you.”

Mick rolled his eyes.  “Idiots,” He muttered.  “I’m surrounded by idiots.”

Kami threw herself across the aisle at Cox.

Dorothy buried her face in her hands, her veil of red hair shielding her from view, and burst into tears.

And Danny…he paused to study his oldest daughter.

“Mama!” Ivy cried out, gunning for Eva.  Eva turned away from him to bend down and catch their daughter as she toddled into her arms.

He turned back to Danny, worried about the strange expression on her face.  He followed her line of sight to…

Ripper.

They appeared to be having some kind of staring contest, the rest of the world forgotten, no winner in sight.

“Yo, Danny!” ZZ said, appearing beside his daughter, startling her.  She turned to ZZ.

“You wanna dance?”

Danny shot one last look at Ripper, turned back to ZZ and nodded.  He watched them walk off already planning on how many different ways he was gonna beat ZZ to death, then got up in his Sgt. at Arms face.

“What was that?”  He growled.

Ripper eyed him boldly.  “What was what?”

His nostrils flared.  “You.  Danny.  What.  Was.  It.”

“Baby,” Eva said, wedging herself in between them.  “I wanna dance.”

Of course she did.  She always had him doing stupid shit like dancing.  And for some reason he was always doing it even though he fucking hated it.

“Later,” He promised Ripper and allowed his new wife to drag him off.

“When can we get the fuck outta here?”  He asked her.

Laughing, she wrapped her arms around his neck and tucked her beautiful body against his.  “I love you Deuce,” She giggled.  “So, so much.”

“Babe,” He said softly, holding her tightly, “Fuckin’ yeah.”

“One more thing,” She said.

“Yeah?”

“You’re mine.”

He grinned.  He sure as fuck was.

THE END.
